Anyone else notice that? She was great in Jennifer's Body and Friends With Kids. Most everything else she's in is a cardboard cut out of a character.
Maybe in Zeroville James Franco will prove to be a good director and writer and showcase her potential more. -

hopefully. haven't seen friends with kids. But she needs to play a redeemable character. somone with flaws, with an arch and positive resolution. She never plays these. Jennifers body could of been better if they at least made us feel sorry for her charcter. But she's just vain. or the movie is highlighting her vanity for her.

I thought she was actually quite fun in TMNT. Hardly anything special but she brought some nice personality and comic timing.
The issue usually seems to be with writing and the types of parts she can get. As she became known as a sex symbol, most of the parts Megan could get were generic 'hot chick' ones. If the part only calls for her to showcase her beauty and sex appeal, she's obviously not going to be challenged much as an actress. Blake Lively is a great example of an actress who's willing to go after more varied roles - The Town, Hick, The Age of Adaline and The Shallows. I think Megan definitely does have some potential. It wasn't much but I thought she was quite good in the music video for "Love the Way You Lie". It's actually harder to act when you don't have lines, so she managed to at least be memorable.
