      It's just a play on words. I don't think it is referring to a specific person called Alma although I believe the term 'alma mater' is literally the latin term for 'nurturing mother'. Could be a song about a mother's love therefore.

          I remember reading in an interview that he said it was about men embracing the feminine side of their personality, and women embracing their masculine side.
          However I also read that he said later that that wasn't entirely true.
          So, typical Moz, I don't think we'll ever really know. 😛
