Just picked this album up today. It's not bad, typical Zombie album. Seems WAY too short though, coming in just under a half an hour. Would have been nice for another 10-15 minutes of music on there.

I thought it was a pretty good album overall. A step up from the last two albums but not quite up to par with the first three. My favorite tracks from it are "Get Your Boots On! That's the End of Rock And Roll," "Medication for the Melancholy," "Wurdalak," and "The Hideous Exhibitions of a Dedicated Gore Whore."

I don't know. I think Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor and Hellbilly Deluxe 2 weret better than this one. Dead City Radio and the New Gods of Supertown alone was better than any song on Electric Warlock, IMO. Plus, it's about 7 minutes longer than this new album, and Hellbilly Deluxe 2 was about 15 minutes longer, which is a bonus.

The songs have been stuck in my head all day long so I absolutely have to listen to them. Almost as though they put spells over me.
I didn't care much for "The Life and Times of a Teenage Rock God" at first. I thought it was kind of all over the place like it was three different songs in one. But after a few more listens it grew on me so it's now one of my favorites on the album, too. Some of the songs actually kind of sound like the ones on Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor. "Get Your Boots On" kind of sounds like Dead City Radio at the beginning, and Medication for the Melancholy sounds a bit like Behold the Pretty Filthy Creatures.
