The song "Buanos Noches from a lonely room". The whole song is so full of revenge and "woundness" if that is a word.

"I'm just a face in the crowd, looking' for trouble." (inspired by the Andy Griffiths movie, "A Face in the Crowd.")

            I've always liked
            "Climb the Earth's tallest mountain
To where it reaches the sky
Take a gun fire a bullet
            Straight up out of sight
Where it stops in the heaven
Well that ain't half as high
As the distance between you and me"
From "The Distance Between You and Me"
off of the "If There Was a Way" album - I love this one!

Not a huge fanI like him, though. He has a very distinctive voice. Fav lyric? My signature. I hadn't even been aware of this song until I heard a snippet on an episode of Crossing Jordan. Knew it was Dwight Yoakum the second i heard it.

Stop the world and let me off!

Great song but an oldy. It has been covered a million times over, it was originally written by Carl Belew. It's the lead track on Dwight's Used Records album
                mine would be
Today I had another bout with sorrow
You know this time I almost won
If this bottle would just hold out 'til tomorrow
I know that I'd have sorrow on the run
