Some of the jokes and threads in the board about Anton have been absolutely sickening.
One thing I've realised over time is that if you want to see humanities lowest, don't look at governments, politics, big corporations or terrorists..just look online.
If you correct all the world's problems, world hunger, global warming, war, corrupt governments, ISIS etc you're still left with people. People like the ones you see in the message boards. People who place little to no value on human life, people who lack empathy and consideration. People who will laugh in the face of tragic accidents or someone who is mourning. People who aren't happy with their lives so they try to ruin, disrupt and drag down the lives of others.
Humanities doom rests on these people because even if world problem's are solved, you're still left with idiots who will always bring humanity back to square one. You might think I'm exaggerating over several trolls on Anton Yelchins board. But this post is more of a build up over several years, seeing the crap people put online and the general disregard and lack of consideration for anyone else. What someone posts online is actually a great indication to what's going on in their head. -

Whilst I agree about the "celebrity worshippers", I think your comments have been inappropiate. "Exposing celebrity worshippers", which by the way, you haven't had any success in, isn't more important than showing respect to the deceased and the people who care about him, or at least claim to

Maybe bub should get with the heads at IMDB and see if you can set up some new guidelines for censorship? If they don't agree and hint to you that you need to grow a pair, then maybe curb your foolish over sensitive attitude. My 14 yr old daughter is less cynical and less wuss than you.

There are some kind posters here, but then there are the roaches as well.
Just put the latter (including the idiot above, itsthatguyme) on "ignore." Believe me, it will freshen the air. -

I share your anger at the disrespect and morbid comments some people have made. I can't even imagine joking about some actors who may have been arrogant in life. Anton Yelchin always acted in a reserved and humble way which I greatly respected. He also worked hard to get where he was because he attended theater school since childhood.
BUT you can be sure that the people who write these bad things are trolls or people who haven't faced tragedy or have been close to death. They haven't faced mortality. How will it hurt them emotionally when something tragic will happen to them or their loved ones. And we know it is a certainty for everybody.
At least you can feel better knowing that wherever the late actor is he doesn't care about what these people write and neither do those who loved him. -

I just take solace in the fact that people who do these things are more than likely unhappy. And it's likely that no one cares about them, so they don't care about people in general.
There is no way a happy, well-adjusted person would take time out of their day to say that stuff. I just looked through some of the threads, and a few people have been making hateful comments since Sunday. They've gone out of their way to check the board and make comments everyday so far. At the same time they're claiming that they don't care about it. It's bizzare and pathetic. But that's the internet. It's where people come to feel important.
Boredom is bullsh#t. -

This is very true. Happy people don't feel the need to crap all over everything.
The miserable people don't realize how they are really coming off. They think they are "winning", but the only thing they are "winning" is pity. -

Worse than those who disrespect the dead, are those who disrespect the living. There is no reverence generated by the dead. They are dead. But people who cry about those who make comments, are worse that the ones making the comment. Speaking your mind is a fundamental freedom here in America. If you're offended by the words of someone you don't know, speaking about someone you don't know, well that's just absurd and pathetic. Feeling you need to police the community for dead is just plain stupid and arrogant. Get a life!!
