Does he still earn residuals from Sanford + Son?

I doubt that he does. Most actors, especially back then, did not get residuals unless their agent was able to get it into their contract.
Jerry Seinfeld was forced to later agree to residuals with his main cast members b/c many saw the huge payday in syndication, DVD sales, etc.
As for Gilligan's Island the only one I recall who had residuals was Dawn Wells (the adorable & incredibly sexy Mary Ann). -

Back in the day, actors received residuals for a limited time. In the early 1970's that changed and residuals are now paid as long as cash comes in from syndication. Not sure if the S&S contract was before/after the change.
Seinfeld refused to give up syndication profits as he and Larry David have partial OWNERSHIP of the show. The syndication cash, $2.8 BILLION and counting, goes to the owners.
However, the DVD release of Seinfeld was held up as the union contract only paid pennies for video residuals. Seinfeld had to cough up some profits from the DVD sales in order to get the rest of the cast to participate in taping segments for the DVDs. -

I saw a clip from a recent interview Wilson did and when asked this question he said what he says he always replies whenever someone asks him that which was something to the effect of "Is an elephant heavy?" which is to say YES, he still receives residuals from Sanford & Son.
"Be nice until it's time to NOT be nice."
