Can any fans suggest a worthwhile book about them? Any authorized bios? Seems like a lot are best passed on or inaccurate comments made.

I would really recommend Timothy White's 'Nearest faraway place' and Peter Carlin Ames 'Catch a wave : the rise fall, and redemption of the Beach Boys' Brian Wilson'- which is very well researched and well written
