Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Andy Williams

With Andy Williams' passing yesterday, that leaves only Tony Bennett remaining as the sole surviving crooner of the classic era (old-school). The only crooners of the near-older generation who are still alive are Engelbert Humperdinck (born 1936; age 76), Tom Jones (born 1940; age 72) & Paul Anka (born 1941; age 71). Bennett is 86, so that makes him the last surviving crooner of the "classic" era of singers, with Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, Perry Como, Robert Goulet & Sammy Davis, Jr. all having passed away.
Goodbye, Andy. Thank you for your wonderful songs. Rest well, Sir.
    Larry Appleton: "I have"
    Balki Bartokomous: "Oh, God!"
    Larry Appleton: "a plan!"

Don't forget Tony Martin, who passed away a couple of months ago at age 98.

Johnny Mathis is an old-schooler that is still alive!

There is also Ed Ames, Vic Damone (though he is retired), Jerry Vale, and Julius LaRosa.
