Sorry, but he shouldn't have been arrested…

2000 — 13 years ago(July 19, 2012 10:00 AM)It's not like he was whacking off at the local ice cream parlor or school playground he was at an ADULT MOVIE THEATER! In other words, a porn palace Sorry, but EVERYONE who goes to one of those places is there for one of two things: a) to jerk off OR b) hook up with another dude either way, it is consensual and shouldn't be viewed as something illegal. Frankly, it is none of our business a lot of police officers like to "prove they are big men" by busting people for crimes where no one was hurt and no one was bothered
What were they concerned that someone who had entered the porn theater was going to be shocked and outraged by him jerking in the shadows
What's next are they going to go to bars and arrest people for being drunk in public? -

I agree. Police just use porno theater raids as easy bread. When you238 go in there you should expect to see a lot of erections. Both on screen and off. To take your bar analogy one step further - it'd be like going to a bar and being busted for drinking. You're there to enjoy what's on offer.

I am sicked by this. What if there had been children around?
Uhhh Dude, that's idiotic. If there were children around an adult (aka, porno) theater, the parents should be arrested, not Fred.
And FURTHERMORE, this is my signature! SERIOUSLY! Did you think I was still talking about my point? -

Sorry, klauke, one of my best friends from college died today, so I haven't really been paying attention to everything, and didn't realize it was sacrastic.

Heads up - pretty sure that wasn't meant to be serious, Max. The rest of the post was kind of sarcastic
EDIT: Sorry to hear about your college friend - that's obviously always a sad thing - even though I don't know you, I'm sorry for your loss. -

I totally agree I sincerely doubt anyone who's in the theater with him, could give a st what he was doing. So who is he hurting? To be honest, my biggest question is, why do these theaters still exist? Not going off on a moral thing here, I'm just curious, considering we all know the internet and DVDs exist. I mean, radio and television will both likely be dead in their current form sometime relatively soon, and for the same reasons, but adult theaters can still make a buck staying open? Again, I don't care, I'm just kind of amazed.
I guess I'm also kind of amazed that cops go into these places and then, what, shine their flashlights around the theater at guys' groins individually to see if they're jerking it? Or are there undercover porno cops who sit down next to guys, then stare at their crotch, just in case the guy whips it out? Actually, now I kind of want to hear how that works. Hell, that sounds significantly crazier and more offensive than the dudes that are actually committing the "crime".
Though these kinds of stories about celebrities really confuse me - all I can say, is if I was in the spotlight even slightly, I'd be so well-behaved outside of my house, you'd never have dirt on me. Hell, I'm an everyday guy, and I stay well-behaved outside of closed doors without much effort. I mean, I'm no angel, don't get me wrong, but if I wanted to do anything I figure would get me in any kind of trouble in public, I'd do it at home. And I have very little at stake in comparison to a multimillion-dollar career.
I always wonder what celebs are thinking I know the Willard thing really is no big deal, but then I think of John Travolta's current problems (amongst others who do other things like drugs in public, etc.), and if they're true, I just have to think some of these celebs have terrible judgement. If you're famous, people WILL recognize you, and people WILL talk about you, if you do something unusual and/or illegal. You can still do whatever unusual stuff you want, I couldn't care less, but why do it so recklessly? I guess I don't get it.
But leave Fred Alone like Pee Wee, the man didn't hurt anyone. I just hope this doesn't hurt Fred's image too much. I doubt it will though - I think Pee Wee got it worse though, because he was somewhat known as a kid's entertainer. -

This, in general, just made me laugh. Thank you for that. There's also a very 12 year-old version of me that loved the use of the term "white wash" in here as well. Nicely done.
Though, in this instance, as far as being shot in the head, I'd have to draw a closer correlation to Jenna Jameson, than Kennedy or Lincoln. -

Thanks Bill. I'm trying to channel some of the musings people wrote, back in the day, about Pee Wee Herman. Some of the most funny moments when the Herman shooting took place. This is Fred's legacy now, good, bad or funny.

First of all you say leave him alone and in the next breath, you say poor guy.
He made a choice, out in public and he's not a poor guy because of it. Trust me, he's going to get more positive support than negative. I'm not a fan of public masturbation, but I respect he made a choice, right or wrong, and is taking it like a man, from what I read. He's still a great guy! -

But that's just it HE WASN'T "OUT IN PUBLIC"!!!!! He was in a porn theater. He wasn't taking a stroll in Central Park He was in a porn theater Close-ups of 30 foot wide dicks are projected on the big screen seriously, these places exist for the sole purpose of jerking off and frankly to get head from another dude (who give way better head than girls) -

'This is like arresting someone for littering in a public sewer.'
Poor analogy, this shouldn't be done anyway, find a trash can.
Has anyone thought maybe he doesn't how to use the internet at 72 years young?
I'm think they may have arrested him for sanitary reasons.
I'm wondering what the other patrons were doing at the adult theatre when they were targeting him.
