Sweet and funny lady, yet she was a t.v. star, not a silver screen star…..

Exactly.
I was like, "WTF is she doing on there?"
They did the same thing for Carol "Archie Bunker" O' Conner when he passed away.
Again, WTF?

They used her to push another agenda because it was cute having JLC holding a little chihuahua and talking about rescue dogs. What the frick has this got to with Oscars?
I was liking the presentation of the In Memoriam until the end.

She's known better for her TV roles, but she was in several movies.
I hated the way the In Memoriam was done. I thought the singing and dancing was unnecessary and distracting, and the segment should've been focused on the people who were being honored/remembered. -

I could not agree more! It was a distraction, and it
cheapened
the whole thing imho. I wanted to
see the people,
not a bunch of ****ing singers! The Oscars just seem to have to make
a production number
out of
everything!

I looked at her resume, but I don't feel it was enough to warrant an Oscars tribute.
I did find the songs appropriate and it kind of put a less somber atmosphere on the presentation. Plus due to Smith's violent outburst, we didn't more depression.
