First off let me say I don't hate Joss Whedon, but I'm not a whedonite at all. Never watched any of his shows, the first thing Isaw of his was the avengers which was good but lacked any kind of real stamp.
However I've heard on and on about his feminist street cred and how he always has strong female leads etc. I;m a firm believer that any guy that goes around claiming to be a feminist is full of beep Every guy I know no mater how liberal they try to act, get them one on one and they can be as misogynistic as anyone. So to see it bite him in the ass like this is a joy.
I also kept reading about how much he disliked working with marvel and how the film isn't what he wanted. He said this right after the movie came out, really great way to bite the hand that feeds you. The film wasn't even that good. Mainly because he's not a good director, he appeals to geeks and that's it. He's not auteur. I'm really glad the Russo's are going to be directing future films. -

Umm you criticize him about how he was apparently unhappy with how his film turned out, and then you immediately state that the film 'wasn't even that good'. A little contradictory there. -

His film turned out to be crap because he imposed his stupid choices over the studio's. It also doesn't change the fact that he bit the hand that fed him, he keeps doing it. He is disgusting.

Same here now. His liberal stupidity is too publicized. Half the nation would boycott on principle alone. I know I'll never pay to see any of his movies from here on out and I LOVED his Avenger movies and Serenity.
He killed his own career with his Anti-American and Anti-Trump stupidity. -
