Hey there!
So, I was checking on Emma's IMDb message board (aka here), and I noticed that it is full of negativity, hate, and unreasonable comparisons concerning Emma's career in contrast to other celebrities' life choices. So, why is this happening? Why does this thread receive so much hate? I have read some of the opinions going on here, so I decided to write down mine as well.
At first, I'd like to refer to the subject of her talent. A lot of you ca16d0ll her untalented. She is not the best actress ever existed, ofcourse. There are people whose acting is better than hers. But have you seen her Noah performance? She was great. And so was she in Regression, so was she in Colonia. She's not the best, but she's good. Not bad at all. For example, here:

Secondly, you call her a feminazi. You say she doesn't know what feminism is. But have you heard her lectures? She's amazing! She knows exactly was she's doing, what feminism is, and how it can affect both genders. She talks about stereotypes, how a man, for example, is not supposed to cry just because this is how a man is pictured. Because women are not believed to be strong, if a man cries, as they do, is thought to be week, feminine. What she says is, why should men be treated as week and feminine just because, like all human need, feels the need to cry? See? She's not undermine the male gender. She's trying to help it just as she does for the female one. Those who say she's wrong, or that she hates men, are just unfair, or haven't heard her lectures. She's talking about equality, not about undermining men.

Also, I would also refer to her intelligence. A lot of you call her stupid. But is she? Look at what she's doing! She uses her fame to make world a better place, to stand for her beliefs. Why is this bad or stupid? Because she's a woman? She's pretty instelligent and she has proven it
On comparing her with other celebrities just why do you do that? She's got her own life, her own dreams, her own wills She's different. She's a university graduate, an educated woman. She has interests. Is this bad because she's different? Why does she have to be like the other celebrities of her generation? Difference has been proven good in a lot of situations. Also she seems to be enjoying it
And lastly, her appearence. To some of us she's average, to some of us she's beautiful. But she is definitely not ugly, or dumb-looking. She's simple, she's just a girl, and, in my opinion, that's what makes her beautiful!

So please, let's make this thread more positive, yes? She's a kind person, she doesn't deserve this negativity, and neither do we If you want to obsess over her, then do so, but please, not in such a mean, pathetic way. Make yourself a better person!

I love Emma Watson but I take offense to you calling Anti-feminists as idiots. There is a reason why feminists are so widely hated around the world. It didn't take long for people to realize that these feminists are not here to bring equality between the sexes but to put down & oppress men at every opportunity they get by slowing twisting the laws & social norms in their favor.

Emma Watson, like me and many others, is a feminist. Please point to me one, just one comment or action of hers that opprb68esses men. No, nginx, feminists are hated for stupid reasons.
Are there stupid people fighting for stupid things among so called feminists? Of course! Feminism is not an organized movement, people feel and think differently. And many of us may be wrong or make mistakes. But that does not mean that ALL feminists are evil people wanting to put down & oppress men. For me and many others, Emma included, feminism is about setting both sexes free from stereotipical expectations. Yes, that's right, both sexes!
I live with my boyfriend and share the chores as well as rent and other expenses. We go to the supermarket together and carry things together. Not once did I have a boyfriend pay for my meal, I always insist on paying my half because I made the choice to come and to order what I did.
This is the feminism I believe in and I'm pretty sure this is what Emma is fighting for, too. And you "widely hating" on me because of the actions that other, maybe stupid, people did in the name of feminism is no better in any way than those so called feminists - that are actually mysandrysts - trying to put down men! -

Feminists are hated for valid reasons - if only you would listen. You may not be "evil" - obviously, not all feminists are; but you're certainly complicit in both ideological and real world misandry if you're using the term "feminist" to describe yourself. That's not "guilt by association", because you're the one doing the associating.
Gender egalitarianism is one thing; "feminism" is purely centred on the female gender, at the exclusion of men's interests. It negates men's issues by saying they simply don't exist, then proceeds to tell men what their real issues are. Further, it promotes the idea that men are natural and systematic oppressors of the world, and actually disempowers women by inadvertently suggesting they're perpetual victims.
What you call freeing men from "stereotypical expectations", I call emasculating them. We don't want feminism, and we don't need feminism. -

To some she is ugly. Who exactly? She made the maxim top 100 basically every year since she was 18 and those lists are voted by MILLIONS of people. Same goes for askmen etc She is regarded by many as one of the most beautiful in the industry, with some of the most beautiful light brown/hazel eyes in the world and an amazing face. Opinions about her acting or her work for UN may vary, but for me there is no doubt she is extremely beautiful and regarded as so by most people.
What are you exactly surprised of? That some haters visit this board? Haters just want to spread negativity, they would say blatant lies like stating 2001: a space Odissey is a visual abomination just to fulfill their agenda. -

I'm surprised of the fact that the first page of this message board basically consists of hate posts, while other celebrities do not receive the half of the hate this page does. Which is pathetic, I quess
As a fan of hers, I would prefer the page to contain more posotive messages than negative ones, I don't know, it's kind of weird

- IMDB forums are NOT "fan boards"NONE of them are.

This is not a fan board, indeed. But people like you, who are not, as it seems, fans of her, could try to at least express their opinions politely. I do not know if you are one of those who mindlessly throw hate in this board, but have you seen what's going on?
Which leads to another question of mine: if you are not a fan of hers, or someone who's willing to politely express th1c84eir critiques, then why are you here? Why do you stalk this board? Just to be agressive to the ones who appreciate the person this thread is dedicated to? -

To help you, this is the meaning of the word legitimate (which you do not seem to understand), found in the Cambridge online dictionary:allowed by law, reasonable and acceptable.

I suppose this is a possibility, but why should someone be jealous of a person they never met and never will be meeting? I mean, we all have celebrity crushes, but that's why we call it celebrity crushes, they are completely platonic.

was just being curious so checked this person's IMDb comments history. It seems they 238"legitimate critisize" a lot of female celebrities. So I suppose they just do not deserve our time. As you quote, against stupidity the gods themselves contend in vain
