Caroline has regressed so much since getting with Stefan never mind the fact she was a Stelena supporter which the writers like to pretend never happened. She is not the same Caroline. And her mom had to die in order for this ship to prosper which is disturbing on so many levels.

She has regressed. But Caroline had her eye on Stefan since the first day he transferred into their high school. She has always been into him.Which is why she chose Stefan side over Elena when Stefan and Elena broke up. It always seem to me like Caroline was chasing Stefan,and he was dodging her.
