There was these three elephants, Foot, Foot-foot, And Foot-foot-foot.
They were walking along in the jungle one day when Foot turned to his
too brothers and said "I'm not feeling so well guy's, think we could
stay here until morning?" his brothers said okay and they all went to
sleep. The newt morning when they woke up, Foot was dead. All the
other rwo elephants could do was bury him and go on, they did. Later
that day Foot-foot turned to his brother Foot-foot-foot and said "I'm
not feeling so well" Foot-foot-foot looked at Foot-foot for a minute
and finally said, "You better watch out for your self, we already
have one Foot in the grave.
Not sure if its the same joke, but found that one.

I seem to recall the joke from an appearance on a variety show that Terry Thomas was on in the 1960s. There are three brothers named Foote, Foote Foote, and Foote Foote Foote. Part of the charm of the joke, of course, was the pronounciation the gap-toothed comic brought to the word "Foote" (coming out like "Futt", "Futt Futt", and "Futt Futt Futt". They are three brothers who are out on a stroll one day, when Foote Foote Foote collapses and says he thinks he may die. He doesn't, but a few days later he collapses again, and says he may die. This time he does. Some time passes. Now Foote Foote and Foote are walking along and Foote Foote collapses, and says to Foote he thinks he is going to die. Foote says, "Don't say thatwe'll be down to our last foot!".
There is also a joke he did on a Red Skelton show in the 1960s, where he hears this connumdrum from Skelton: "Brothers and Sisters, I have none, but this man's father is my father's son." Stumped, he is told by Skelton "The answer is Me!" [meaning the person who says the connumdrum is the person who is the "father's son".] Along comes another guest on the show, and Skelton suggests that Terry-Thomas repeat the connumdrum again. He does, and the person who hears it guesses it has to be the person telling it (i.e. Terry-Thomas), and says so. Surprised, Terry-Thomas shakes his head and says, "No, it's him!" (and points to Skelton). My guess is that Skelton and Terry-Thomas had met in the filming of THOSE MAGNIFICENT MEN IN THEIR FLYING MACHINES, and decided to do a show together.
