Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Terry-Thomas

If Richard Briers is Terry's father's cousin, that would make Richard his first cousin once removed, not second cousin.
Lucy Briers, Richard's daughter, would be his second cousin.

Richard Briers left this on the website for Terry-Thomas.
      Dear Roberta
      Congratulations on your Terry-Thomas webside.
      Wonderful!
Thank you for doing so much for Dear Terry.
I acted with him in 1960 in a play / farce called IT'S IN THE BAG
which sadly had a short run at the
Duke of York's Theatre, in London.
After each matinee after me had taken the 'curtain call
and not looking forward to the evening performance at all (!)
Terry-Thomas would step forward and say to the audience:
Ladies & Gentleman, I'm so glad you enjoyed the performance -

      • as a matter of fact we enjoyed it so much ourselves
that we are just going to have a little rest and a cup of tea,
and they we are going to do it ALL OVER AGAIN !!!
        Love & Thanks
        Richard (Briers)

You`re right. That error needs to be corrected. I will do it!

Terry-Thomas and Richard Briers appeared in the film A MATTER OF WHO [1961]. Terry-Thomas noted that provided "no nepotic help" in getting Briers the part.
