Here's the latest info from Billboard mag Feb. 25th:
Donna Summer will break a 17-year drought of studio albums with all new material thanks to a new deal with Sony BMG's Burgundy Records. Dubbed "Crayons," the project will arrive May 20.
Summer is working with a wide range of collaborators, including Danielle Brisebois, Greg Kurstin, JR Rotem, Lester Mendez and Evan Bogart.
"My dream is that when people hear the music it will remind them of their youth, their childhood and the joy and wonderment they felt exploring their first pack of crayons," Summer says.
Summer's last album of completely new material was 1991's "Mistaken Identity" (Atlantic). Since then, she has released holiday and live albums, as well as 1996's "I'm a Rainbow," featuring tracks originally cut in 1981.
The first "single" I'm A Fire is available to download.

"I'm A Fire" just hit the #1 spot on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play Chart, making it her 13th single to top the chart, as well as her 19th #1 charting single across all charts.
She is the only artist to have a #1 dance single in each of the following decades: 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s. -

I'm STILL amazed that Madonna got into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame before Donna.
It's just not right. Donna won a Grammy for Best Female ROCK Performance for Hot Stuff. She's had a longer career and at her "hottest" was much hotter than Madonna ever was. -

I can't believe she's still going to make an album at age 59/60.
I didn't really listen to her music, can somebody tell me what good dance songs she has?

Got a copy of "Stamp Your Feet" and I CANNOT stop playing it!!!
Very contemporary sounding in the style of Gwen Stefani or Fergie. If it's a single it should do well!

No offense but that was a really stupid and pathetic thing to say. And sad.
