Just noticed watching Castle that one of her eyes (her left eye, but I might be mistaken) looks unusual. It looks totally different to her other eye and doesn't look like a regular eye would. It appears discolored or bleached.
I was wondering if anyone would shed2000 some light on that.

This happens John Noble in "Fringe" too, and I thouht it was some sort of effect they were adding (because they do that sort of thing).
However, people seem to think it's actually a result of having cataracts removed. Filming lights shining on the eye reflect on the synthetic lens that's been inserted, and it seems to flash white.
Her eyes are actually both normal, and both blue otherwise. 🙂

So I am not the only one who mentioned. It's been driving me mad. Sometimes I even get the feeling the eye is pointed in a slightly different direction than the other. The cataract thing sounds as a reasonable explanation for the color and I just might be imagining the misalignment. What's really strange is that I was not able to find any information about that (I usually find anything, including some things I shouldn't be able to find but not this time). If anyone has some information about this, please do share it.

As a nurse when I do neurological exams, I have to flash a light in the patient's eyes to see how the pupils react. You can always tell who has had cataracts because of the flash that the artificial lens produces when you do that. You can also see the reflection of light when looking at someone with an artificial lens from the side and they change the direction they are looking, making the light source hit the lens at a different angle.
I can tell that she did have cataract surgery and that she has an artificial lens based on the reaction it has to light.
