No mention of his role in "True Detective"?

While I'm not a Rick fan (or, did not really have a go at his music yet), I was quite impressed with his minor appearance in the 2nd season of "True Detective".
In the first he appears, up untill the character takes his sunglasses off, I was convinced I was looking at the actor William Fichtner.
So, nobody else found his minor role memorable? -

I just watched his first appearance in True Detective and didn't recognize him (though I was a fan back in the day). I also thought it was William Fichtner.
My shoes are too tight and I have forgotten how to dance. -

I saw his name in the credits and had to come to this board to discover which character he was. Definitely didn't recognize him. What a pleasant surprise that he was unrecognizable. Lost himself in his role. Saw him in concert because I love me some Rick Springfield.
