Why was Sheridan not in the new Royal Family episode? was it due to work commitments or some other reason?

She was already signed & filming 'Grown-ups' when they made the xmas special. That is why she was not in it.
She is currently in discussions to star in a new BBC drama with the working only title of 'Missing Persons'.
