You watch many of the episodes of the Twilight Zone and you'll think, I've heard that thought or seen that scene in a modern movie. A few I've noticed:
Season 1, Ep4: The 16 Millimeter Shrine - Purple Rose of Cairo (woman goes into a film because she'll be happier there than in real life)
Season 1, Ep9: Perchance to Dream - Nightmare on Elm Street (someone afraid to fall asleep because a nightmare will kill them)
Look at Season 5, Ep23: Queen of the Nile (basis for Death Becomes Her)
P.S. I Hate Cigarettes - I hold them responsible for Rod Serling and Edward R. Murrow's early deaths (they both smoked like chimneys).
This positively infantile preoccupation with bosoms!Terry-Thomas about US 1963.Hasnt changed much!
