Back in the day the actor Martin Sheen used to appear in the infomercials
for Tony Robbins for the first year or so and on camera he would ask
the viewers &amb68p;quot;how much did I get paid to appear in this ad? Not one thin
dime." And so then Mr. Sheen continued to appear for no upfront salary
and then he was replaced by NFL great Fran Tarkenton after one year.
The reason being that Mr. Tarkenton had agreed to be in the infomer-
cial for an upfront salary and when Martin Sheen found out then he
got angry and quit immediately. My point being is Mr. Sheen must
have felt insulted since he'd appeared on camera for no fee while
Mr. Tarkenton took payments for appearing in the infomercial for
several years. I have no idea if Martin Sheen and Tony Robbins are
still friends or not after all of these years and these ads no longer
air on late night television for the past many years. Just goes to
show how money can make a world of difference between friends!
