Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Ralph Richardson

For those wanting to find out more about Ralph Richardson, I would recommend the book Ralph Richardson: The Authorized Biography by John Miller. It goes over his stage career extensively and talks about his colleagues and movies too. A short foward was written by Richardson's close friend, his fellow theatrical knight Sir John Gielgud. An Actor's Life: Ralph Richardson by Garry O'Connor is also informative, though not as thorough.

I've just bought a copy of John Miller's book. I haven't read it yet, but it seems to be the best book going on Sir Ralph.

I found that so-called biography by Garry O'Conner to be slightly off-putting and bogus.

Im suprised Richardson ever AUTHORISED a biography, never seemed to be the sort of chap in interviews who liked to talk about himself or give much away.
