First of all, I hate this hack. He's untalented, egotistical, and more concerned with money and fame than the art. His bio, no doubt written by himself, speaks volumes about his character.
Second of all, I think his comments were totally inappropriate and he should be fired from the Oscars telecast.
With that being said, I think he may not be a homophobe but instead trying to live up to his "bad boy" image (a label I wish the media wouldn't use at it may just encourage the little douchebag) and
thinking he can say whatever he wants and get away with it.
The timing seems appropriate for this he just got out of a screening for his new movie (which will be no doubt just as dull and uninspired as everything else he's done) and he's sitting pretty ok with producer credits to television shows and, of course, the Oscars. It seems his enthusiasm for the life he has one he certainly doesn't deserve got the best of him and he went and said something idiotic in a moment of stupidity.
Nevertheless, I still think this jerk should be booted from the Oscars telecast and perhaps even blacklisted. But I hate this guy so much I am hoping for any reason to see less of him and his terrible Hollywood products.

This man is a Crook . Check this out.
2000 made FAMILY MAN budget 60,000,000.00 his salary 5,000,000.00
2001 made RUSH HOUR budget 90,000,000.00 his salary 5,000,000.00
2002 made RED DRAGON budget 78,000,000.00 his salary 6,000,000.00
2006 made X MEN LAST STANDING budget 210,000,000.00 his salary 8,000,000.00
2008 RUSH HOUR budget 140,000,000.00 his salary 7,500,000.00
Is this man for real. Moulin Rouge in 2001 cost 52,000,000.00 to make. he spent 90,000,000.00 the same year for RUSH HOUR. There is something very wrong here.
