Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Édith Piaf

    Harold_Robbins — 18 years ago(February 26, 2008 06:55 PM)

There is some incredible Piaf stuff on YouTube - despite the limitations of 1950s/early 1960s technology, you'll find yourself mesmerized by her compelling performances - you get an idea of how gigantic her voice was, and how tiny and fragile her body -
    except when she sang!
She was in complete command of herself, of her music, and of her audience.
"Stone-cold sober I find myself absolutely
    fascinating!"
    Katharine Hepburn

Wonderful, isn't it? Have you also seen the clip of
      Plus bleu que tes yeux,
her duet with Charles Aznavour? It's beautiful
