The soapbox before the offshoot boards (politics, religion, etc) were created.
I never had that pleasure. By the time I found it it was already a cesspit.
PAGG hacking into PMD’s account was the funniest.
I didn't see that, but I've seen a few people get their accounts hacked. Always very funny. I used to fake hack my own sock accounts with my main and the population of IMDb was so stupid they'd fall for it. I ended up with a reputation for hacking despite never hacking anybody.
I also once got Gamebody's account deleted by the mods and even to this day he believes a fellow troll hacked him and deleted it.

Shooting the breeze with interesting and witty people, reading other people's funny threads. Checking the boards before watching a film rather than believing the rating. The INTK board was also excellent. The best thing was not having to read the rantings of so many sick perverts because they were diluted across so many boards.

Checking the boards before watching a film rather than believing the rating.
The vast majority of people are complete idiots and rarely have I seen anybody on IMDb provide an insightful review of a film.
The best thing was not having to read the rantings of so many sick perverts because they were diluted across so many boards.
Actually, they were all contained. On the Soapbox.
That's enough to make IMDb better though, because unlike this place it wasn't 95% garbage.
