I would love to watch a romantic movie of his, if he has one. I thought he was magnificent in The Haunted Mansion.

BoPeep,I don't know,he was lovely in Haunted Mansion, wasn't he?! The only real drama/romance I've ever seen him do was Wide Sargasso Sea,which I didn't much care for, really. For a Jane Austen character,I've always pictured him as Captain Wentworth even though he's never been in an adaptation of Persuasion. I wished Kate Winslet could play Anne, they would have made a good on-screen pair I thought!

He was lovely! Lucky for me, he has one of those classic British looks which works very well in fairytale stories, which I love so much!

Check him out in the 1998 TV movie version of "Far From the Madding Crowd".

Yeap, you are soooo right! Definitely the role from "Far From the Madding Crowd". I loved him there. He looked absolutely beautiful (in spite of the beard 😉 )and played the role brilliantly.

He just needs to appear as himself

Yes, he was wonderful in the Haunted Mansion. I loved the way he portraid Mr Gracey. It is one of my favorite roles he played. I haven't seen much of his other work, so I have no idea about other romantic films he did.
