Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Nathaniel Parker

Not sure whyI suppose it's just the tall, dark and handsome in a brooding sort of way. I just saw him in Bleak House and must check out his other movies, esp. Vanity Fair.

Both Nathaniel Parker and Ciaran Hinds played the character of Edward Rochester.
Nathaniel Parker played the young Rochester in John Duigan's film of Jean Rhys' novel "The Wide Sargasso Sea" - which is a prequel to Charlotte Bronte's novel "Jane Eyre"
Ciaran Hinds played the older Rochester in a 1997 TV Movie of "Jane Eyre"
It would be interesting, perhaps, to watch the two films back to back, and see if these two similar looking actors have a similar take on Rochester's character
(I haven't seen either "Wide Sargasso Sea" or the 1997 "Jane Eyre" but I have the DVD of "Wide Sargasso Sea" on order).

I did so too last night, while watching an "Inspector Lynley" episode 🙂
If anyone knows where I could get a hold of "Evolution's Child" (1999), please msg me! 🙂

I really enjoy 'Nat' in the Inspector Lynley series. Missing Joseph was on the other night. This is a very nice actor and lovely looks to boot! Glad to see he has new projects underway.

When I watched Stardust I first thought of Ciaran so I agree with you

Yeah I just watched Stardust and I thought he was Ciaran Hinds for a second. Separated at birth perhaps.

I agree. I hadn't seen "The Haunted Mansion" since it was in theatres. It was airing on television & I did a double-take. I didn't remember Ciaran being in the cast, but I had to come here & check!

I never would have tought of that but you are so right. I just saw the movei Stardust and even though his part is small it is great to see him in this wonderful movie.

I've been watching Bleak House recently and thought he
                          was
Ciaran Hinds. When I discovered he wasn't I came straight here only to find someone had beaten me to it!

Nate is far prettier than Mr. Hinds. Anyway, they're both fine actors.
Nathaniel Parker strongly resembles Keanu Reeves. Maybe they have a common ancestor - Keanu is half-British.
