        No kidding. She was a terrific comic actress, and the stage always came alive when Aunt Esther walked into the room. She had great rapport with Redd Foxx. It looked like they really hated each other. But that's what great acting is all about.

          I agree AVE. LaWanda Page was brilliant as Aunt Esther. In my opinion she and Redd Foxx got off some of the funniest comments in TV sitcom history.
          Everyone in the original series was great. Lamont, Bubba, Grady, Rollo, Donna, Slick Skillet, LeRoy the list goes on. Thank goodness TV Land is still showing "Sanford & Son." KH.
