Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Glynnis O'Connor

Miss O'Connor and I are probably about the same age. Me, probably a year or two older than she. Anyway, I first her on television in The Boy In The Plastic Bubble and I thought she was soooo pretty. Then, shortly after that I saw her on the big screen in Ode To Billy Joe, and I really fell for her. I mean, she was a doll. I went back the next day and watched the movie again, lol. Hey, you gotta remember, this was way back in 1976 when there wasn't BLOCKBUSTER VIDEO, the internet, and IMDB. There was no way of finding out about her unless the TV Guide happened to write something about her. And that was that. For the next thirty years I wandered aimlessly looking for a Glynnis O'Connor look-a-like.
So alas, my broken heart remained broken for many years, two failed marriages, and forever yearning to meet this lady and tell her how much of a wonderful role she played in the choices I made when it came to dating/marrying a woman. I'm single and have been for seventeen years now.
Miss O'Connor, if you read this please know I still have a spot in my heart that's reserved for you. 🙂
    Thanks for the memories.

well put. I have long felt the same way about her since seeing those same films back in the 70s.
