How did I miss that he died! I grew up with "Empty Nest," and have pretty much liked him in anything he did.
At least now I get to see his work on "Soap" since it's on Comcast OnDemand.

Yeah, I was sad to hear about it recently too.
I always liked him. Even though I know nothing about him beyond his TV personae, he seemed to exude a kind-hearted father type of personality.

I just now found out too! :' o I'm sooo sad ;_; I absolutely love him. I only know him from Soap, but I would just LOVE to see some more things with him being as funny as he is in Soap. : )

Unfortunately, the passing of many celebrities is a minor news story and easy to miss. The media only makes a big deal of a celebrity passing away if they are a huge star and/or there is a scandal associated with it.
