With the simplicity of vocal inflection, gait, carriage, and just the look on this face, you know when we're in a flashback scene with papa Pope. It's such a joy to watch this amazing acting on television. No make up. No special effects. I feel like audiences have been conditioned to accept less, and certainly not every role calls for a lot, but oh man. It makes this fellow actor happy to see the work being done.
    Bravo to the cast!
Loving Season 3 on Netlfix so far!

I've just recently discovered Scandal, and I'm halfway through the third season. It's gotten to the point where I can hardly stand to watch the scenes with Rowan Pope, he's so.evil. Nasty. Slash the belly and rip the guts out while the victim watches. It's a 180-degree change from his earlier roles of the congenial good guy. He's obviously enjoying the heck out of this character!
There's someone in my head but it's not me.

It's in the eyes. He doesn't hold back.
