See " Reaching Out " by Larry Burrows its Elvis. His knees were injured. He walked with a cane for a while. There are pics of him with his cane.
They wanted him dead. He hated the war. He hated drug runners. They hated him.
Did he work for the CIA.
There are people associated with his family that now run a security company for famous stars, dignitaries they are body guards. Reason many in their family are famous folks. Politicians and so on.
The character of Jim Morrison was a complete departure for Elvis because he was screwed over by the gov. And military.
He wrote songs about being Vietnam and knowing they wanted him dead.
So did his twin brother who played John Fogerty.

Elvis is documented as having had a twin who supposedly died at birth. He didn't die they were both kid actors.
John F is also Gregg Allman.
There are stories of him piloting the plane to bring kids into Vietnam singing songs for them to calm them down.
