Amazing that there are no other messages left here about the brilliant Felicity Montagu.
What a great filmography, too. She's appeared in some cracking shows and in memorable parts.
Of course, she'll always be remembered as Lynne - The World's Hardest Working P.A
(Partridge singing:)

"They're making a new film of Moses. It's not finished, but the baby looks great in the rushes" -

In a huge coincidence, I'm watching that episode as I type and Alan sang that ridiculous song not thirty seconds ago. Weird!
p.ss. I was also surprised to see what an extensive career Felicity's had. Great actress.

True, she is a great actress and is yet another person who has benefitted enormously from working with Steve, Armando & Peter, most notably in films as well now as well as on the small screen.
She is versatile hence the varying amount of projects she has worked on though I didn't know her career had started back as far as the mid 80's.
To be honest I had never recognized her until I began to watch I'm Alan Partridge (I first saw the last 3 episodes of the 2 series in 2002 as I am not very16d0 old in contrast to many others ('20') and I'm Alan Partridge is aimed as more of a grown up comedy in terms of fully understanding it's nature, I only really got fixed on the Series when I was given the first DVD (1997) for my birthday, until then I knew hardly anything about A.P and certainly didn't know Felicity in terms of her on screen performances, though she tends to be a supporting character in her projects - she masters her pieces so well.)
As for her most famous character Lynn in I.A.P it's exactly as the writers put it on the audio commentary, most of Felicity's best acting comes not from her speech, or improvisation for that matter but her facial expressions, as in many cases she rarely makes a profound sentence anyway.
I don't know if it's just me but I do think facial expressions are easier to do by actors as oppossed to actresses, because most male characters are more mentally and in some cases more physically skewed (Gervais / Brent, Coogan / Partridge, Barrie / Rimmer, etc) than their female counterparts but again she handles this extremely well considering the type of person she plays and in many cases you can tell more about Lynn's character by her face than anything she says
