Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Dick Miller

    drxcreatures — 22 years ago(February 04, 2004 02:51 PM)

I am surprised that there is not more in the message board here for Dick Miller. More topics I mean. 🙂 He truly is one of the KINGS of movies. Every time I see him in a film; I just love him all over again.

Dick Miller is truly one of a kind, the greatest of character actors. I've been planning to make a website about him for years now, but I'm always too lazy. I don't think there are so many hardcore Dick Miller fans out there, even though most people at least know his face

I did a public show on him and I DID tell everybody that they would know him when they saw him. The folks who already knew and worshipped him were those who did films (etc) themselves.

To be honest. I've never met him. I've known someone who's worked with him but, no further than that. I have a local movie talk show and folks I know dearly think of him as the King. So therefore, others had to see his work too. He is definitely great. 🙂

Bruce Dern is of whom I am speaking of. 🙂 He's been in films along time too.:)
I live in New Mexico. It's pretty ctummy itself. LOL I do love Miller and I wish that there was more movies that he had bigger roles in. I mean 'bigger' roles altogether. Like 'Bucket of Blood'. 🙂

I'm sure it is still in print. I know a handful of places here in which you can rent it out. I like Burbs the best too. LOL He gave me another copy of that. I also got from him something called Coming Home. I also got an autographed photo from him saying especially nicer things than one would expect.
Dick Miller just needs to grace our h238ome states now. Don't you agree?

It is a Jane Fonda movie. Yes Dern does still get threats about John Wayne. LOL

I haven't seen The Wild Angels or Student Teachers. Not yet. Now you have me wanting to see Student Teachers. I love Corman films. I remember when the corner store had a small selection of his movies. I happily got Piranha and some others. Too bad Wasp Woman nor Bucket of Blood was there. LOL I like Dick MIller in Cormans Little Shop of Horrors.

Well, I think some of Millers movies stun us a little. Evil Toons did stun me! LOL I really do want to see Student Teachers now and if its around then I'll find it!

I GOT both Gremlins movies! I also have Rock & Roll High School. I do not have it on DVD though. I want everything he's ever starred in. 🙂

I got the special edition too! His interview on there was what gave me the idea to have a show theme on him. Not all the movies that he stars in are great but, I love to see him no matter what he's in. 🙂 I think that he and Bob Picardo work very well together.
