I recently was watching "Psycho," and it dawned on me how lovely Vera Miles actually is. Particularly I noticed this in the scene where she is walking up to the Bates house, and the camera keeps going from the foreboding shots of the house to her getting closer. And I just thought 'hey, Vera Miles is actually really beautiful.' Perhaps even more so than Janet Leigh (RIP)

Actually, Psycho was a weird movie to have that dawn on you. Hitchcock was mad at her for getting pregnant and being unavailable for Vertigo. So he made her wear a very unnatural wig and just didn't make this the showcase for her beauty.
Check her in A Touch of Larceny from 1959, with James Mason. She was about 30, and already had 3 children - but just stunningly lovely. Radiant.
