      Yes I've always thought that scene was really realistic. So many old western movies show people getting shot and killed with arrows by Native Americans, and the arrow-shot people just immediately fall over dead just like they were shot in the head with a bullet. In reality death would not be instantaneous like that, they would be awake for awhile and die slowly. That's what makes that scene from
      Deliverance
      so good, they made it more realistic.

          People don't die with their eyes frozen looking upwards.
