Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Doug McClure

For baby boomers, he is probably best remembered for the incredibly cheesy fantasy movies he did in the 1970s, THE LAND THAT FORGOT and THE PEOPLE THAT TIME FORGOT. Forget about THE VIRGINIAN. These Edgar Rice Burroughs-inspired flicks stick5b4 in the mind like an overdose of pasta in the bowels. Great fun,. although the second movie is an out and out howler. McClure also managed to pop up in forgotten gems like WARLORDS of ATLANTIS, HUMANOIDS FROM THE DEEP and Burroughs' AT THE EARTH'S CORE. You want bad movies to watch on drinking nights in your dorm? Here they are, all starring the great Doug McClure, who was probably well lubricated when he shot most of these. And who can blame the poor guy? May he RIP.
