Yes, I fully agree. I first saw
Intolerance
(1916) a few days ago, and thought just the same: the Little Dear One looked very "modern", and had such a sweet, timeless beauty.

Mae Marsh was the living image of sweet innocence and natural beauty, at least on camera I know nothing of her real world persona.
