Sue was molested while making Lolita? I was curious what happened to her and looked her up. While on a TV show interview she said Lolita was a personal favorite picture of her only to say that Lolita ruined her life years later.
Also I came across a timeline chronicling her career and I found something really disturbing:
Producer James Harris, who has been her most ardent suitor since the Lolita days, still has hopes of recapturing her affections, and is talking of renting a house in Mexico while Sue is in Puerta Vallarte for Night of the Iguana.

Harris co-produced The Killing, Paths of Glory and Lolita with Kubrick. Lolita would be their last film together. Maybe Kubrick found out and decided he didn't want to be associated with such a creep.

If Kubrick found out about Harris possibly molesting Sue, I doubt he would have remained good friends with Harris even after their film-partnership ceased. Kubrick moved to England, so naturally his working partners would change, but Harris still attempted to find an investor for Kubrick's

. Moreover, Kubrick supported Harris' own ventures into directing films.
I believe that the reason Sue backtracked in regards to her feelings about
Lolita
stemmed from the negative publicity and media attention. People expected her to act bratty and vulgar like her character, and constantly poked into her private life for juicy details. She became sick and tired as being seen as someone she was not, and blamed (albeit) unfairly the film for providing the intrusions and the wrong idea.
As for James Harris, that information seems to be another attempt by a gossip writer to stir up dust and portray Sue like her Lolita character (older man chasing younger girl). Even if Harris did develop a crush on Sue, there is nothing to indicate that they had a physical relationship in any regard. If anything, that gossip byline suggests to me a rebuff by Sue towards Harris.

Yes, but those were only temporary shooting locations, not permanent residences. Kubrick fell in love with England after shooting Lolita there, and decided to make that his home. Harris remained in the States.
