'Seinfeld' actor Len Lesser dies at 88
    (AP) 41 minutes ago
LOS ANGELES (AP) Len Lesser, the veteran character actor best known for his scene-stealing role as Uncle Leo on "Seinfeld," has died. He was 88.
Lesser's family said in a statement that he died Wednesday in Burbank, Calif., from cancer-related pneumonia.
Lesser's lengthy list of television credits included parts on "Get Smart," "That Girl," "The Munsters," "The Monkees," "The Rockford Files," "thirtysomething," "ER," and "Everybody Loves Raymond," which featured Lesser in a recurring role as the arm-shaking Garvin. His film credits included "Outlaw Josey Wales," "Kelly's Heroes," "Birdman of Alcatraz" and "Death Hunt." He most recently appeared on the TV drama "Castle."
He is survived by his daughter, Michele; son, David; daughter-in-law, Julie; and grandchildren, Jonathan, Kayla, and Mayah.

R.I.P. to one of the great character actors throughout the decades. He may be best known as Uncle Leo on "Seinfeld," but watch most any TV series from the past few decades, and you're quite likely to see him.

He was great in so many series in the Golden Age of TV in the 60's and 70's and after.
        RIP.

I remember him as Sergeant Bellamy from "Kelly's Heroes". He was the crap-shooting en2000gineer who tried to get in on Kelly's gold heist taking place behind enemy lines.

That was my favorite role of hisand in my top 10 movie list. Incredible cast Clint, Telly Savalas, Donald Sutherland, Don Rickles, Carol O'Connor, Gavin MacLeod, Stuart Margolin, to name a few.
Friends all tried to warn me
But I held my head up high
All the time they warned me
But I only passed them by
They all tried to tell me
            But I guess I didn't care
            I turned my back and
            Left them standing there
All the burning bridges that have fallen after me
All the lonely feelings and the burning memories
Everyone I left behind each time I closed the door
            Burning bridges lost forevermore
Joey tried to help me find a job
            A while ago
When I finally got it I didn't want to go
The party Mary gave for me
            When I just walked away
Now there's nothing left for me to say
All the burning bridges that have fallen after me
All the lonely feelings and the burning memories
Everyone I left behind each time I closed the door
            Burning bridges lost forevermore
Years have passed and I keep thinking
            What a fool I've been
I look back into the past and
            Think of way back then
I know that I lost everything I thought that I could win
I guess I should have listened to my friends
All the burning bridges that have fallen after me
All the lonely feelings and the burning memories
Everyone I left behind each time I closed the door
            Burning bridges lost forevermore
