Back in the early 1990's, I saw Sho in some sort of ninja workout/exercise series for Japanese housewives (I'm not kidding!) It was broadcast on the NHK channel out of New York. Anyone else see this program?

This sounds like it might be the ICN show "Sho Kosugi Self Defense and Ninjaerobics" which aired from 1996-1998. It's mentioned in his extensive bio and also chronicled in the Articles and Filmography sections on the great fansite

Anyway, I've never seen the show but it may have also been called "Masters of the Martial Arts Starring Sho Kosugi" with the "Ninjaerobics" segments tagged on to it. Here's some more info I found on the web:
"Masters of the Martial Arts Starring Sho Kosugi" is a series that involves interviews and demonstrations on location at different locales in the Orient with grand masters in different disciplines of the martial arts. The host of the series is Sho Kosugi, seven-time karate world champion, and star of numerous martial arts films such as "Black Eagle" with Jean-Claude Van Damme, "Blind Fury" with Rutger Hauer, "Pray for Death", "Revenge of the Ninja" and others. This series aired for two years on (ICN) International Channel Network.
"Ninjaerobics": An outgrowth of the interest in martial arts has been the development of exercise classes which focus on martial art techniques and self defense. ASNi, recognizing this opportunity, designed and developed "Ninjaerobics", a series of exercise tapes that combines aerobics and self-defense.
I'd love to get my hands on these if anyone has them.
