The airplay this song still gets is crazy. A bop.

I polarise on this opinion greatly. It affected her career commercially, dramatically. Like so badly, She went from Country Princess to one of the most disliked artists ever, but since this experience she's flourished as an incredible songwriter and an even better vocalist. It caused her creativity to span light years beyond what it was before, I'd never expect to hear a song like 'Who We Really Are' or 'Remnants' from her if it wasn't for this.

That's true Twisted Angel was an amazing album but did underperform quite bad but 2 albums following that she was in the top 5 US charts according to Wiki and in the top 5 for the country charts in the UK for 3 albums. If the scandal didn't happen she would've continued to have moderate success. Just look at the sheer drop from the radar after it happened.
The problem with LeAnn, is that she's originally a country star from Mississippi then Texas, who went against the traditional values and stereotyped demographic of that genre. She's fiercely supported LGBTQ, She supported Hilary, She had an extramarital affair with another married man which then led to her getting divorced and marrying that person. She basically waved goodbye to her commercial success with all of that.

Well, she seems really happy that she landed such a MAN tho lol. I mean at one point also, they just wanna marry, have kids and are not willing/care to work hard for their careers, just like what happens to xtine and others.
