She absolutely slayed the performance. Vocals on point for such a hard song and add to that the jaw-dropping reveal at the end. Also, that outfit is pretty memorable too. It broke the Twitter record and was the most talked about moment of the night. Gimmicky but all those iconic VMA performances are (Madonna rolling on the floor in a wedding dress, Britney taking her clothes off and dancing with a snake etc.).
What ya'll think?

Nope. MAYBE it could've been iconic if she hadn't revealed her baby bump on the red carpet. The red carpet reveal has more chance of being iconic.
"Love On Top" isn't as iconic as Like A Virgin. I'm hesitant to call Slave 4 U iconic, but the snake performance and Britney wearing a thong over her pants in the video had people talking

Well, it was pre-recorded, so I do not see why it would not be.
Was it though? The mic was obviously turned on, you can hear it when she drops it and some parts sound live.
How do you know the Queen pre-recorded this flawless performance? Are you trying to get exiled from the Beyhive?

Boy, please! I know when my girl is lipping it. Who cars if the mic is on when you are not saying anything? I taped it and in the original broadcast she mouths the wrong words, but in this one you posted, MTV caught it and they cut away from her now. This one is slowed down a bit, but they kept the shot. Look at the words she lips at 4:12, but listen to what the track says. The track says "one" while she says "see." Look at this one and look at the one yoi posted

Oh. I don't "see" (pun intended) the lipping where you said it would be, but MTV did change the shot indeed, so I guess you're right. At least I think. Why would they need another shot at that exact moment? Why? So you must be right.
It's still a great performance.
