I find him a bit moralistic and sunday schoolteacherish (I know he wasn't one) and the constant quoting of the bbfc thing is a pain.
So yes, or no? Prig or unPrig?

        At it again.
Not liking Sucker Punch and Terminator 3 because of the same priggish, 1970's recieved wisdom feminism that he seems to favour.

No, he dislikes Sucker Punch as it's sexist and objectifies women. I like that he is so quick to spot when a movie is basically saying 'Girls eh? PHWOAR!'

Heaven forfend that should happen. Like I said, knee jerk recieved wisdom seventies feminism.
The same could be said about 300 and men, but that didnt get mentioned.

Prig! not hardly. He is eclectic as they make them w/ a sense of humor. Kermode has his doctorate in horror films, plays in a skiffle band & is married to a woman who specializes in psycho-analyzing erotic thrillers. AND he went to school w/Jason Isaacs!

I just think he's overly sensitive on matters of sex, always quoting bbfc guildelines, and being overly pc on some matters. I like PC (better to watch you mouth than watch your back and all that), but it just makes me shout at the radio.

                            MK on sex in movies:
"I don't like my art smutty, and especially don't like my smut arty!"
                            Not too priggish there.

Can I report you for I dunno, shall we say over-sensitivity? Lack of wisdom? Fanboydom?
