Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Robert F. Kennedy

A movie is being adapted from the the book about RFK called "The Last Campaign: Robert Kennedy and 82 Days That Inspired America". I've always thought Casey Affleck would make a great Robert Kennedy. Both are small, scrappy guys from Massachusetts and both kind of look alike. I could see him effortlessly morphing into RFK.

Their facial features and the nose is nothing alike.

I thought Steven Culp did a pretty good job as RFK in 'Thirteen Days', it's really difficult to think of someone to play an iconic person you really admire, they almost never live up to the task.

I agree. As much as I respect Casey Affleck, I honestly believe that Steven Culp should reprise his role as Bobby Kennedy from

. I highly recommend seeing the movie, if only to see his performance. It's well done.
There'a an article I found here on how he prepared for the role -

, it's a very interesting read. He really worked hard in pda0repartion to play RFK and the effort shows, he really captures the man.

I liked Linus Roache the best as RFK

Casey Affleck already has played RFK, at least he played RFK as a child (10 yrs old or early teens?) in TV movie "The Kennedys Of Massachusetts" in 1990

I think Casey Affleck is a great actor, but to play RFK? Not good enough. To be honest I don't think anyone would be good enough.
