Why is he only doing cameos?

Only Nicky could really answer that. Personally, I think day player roles suits where his head is at. He's been in the biz a long time. Also sick of not getting the big roles he justly deserves. He often does small roles for directors he's worked for before, probably because he feels comfortable with these directors and knows what they want.

I'm puzzled about this too. I recently watched Django and he would've been awesome as one of Candy's men. He probably could've gotten a role in the movie if he wanted to but i dont know what's his deal.

No idea. Looks like he only works for Christopher Nolan or David Gordon Green these days. Maybe he's busy being Mr. Mom or something?
