She's typical liberal scum in a area where anything goes and is celebrated. Hicks should be ostracized for defending Collins who is nothing but scum. Hicks is your typical enabler. Hey, she could play Dotty Sandusky in a made for TV movie and wouldn't need a script. It's her attitude that's wrong with America!

Actually you're incorrect. Since I'm a PSU grad who grew up outside State College, it's well known that Sandusky was an independent because running that foundation he didn't want to offend the donors. Joe Paterno was a republican, but his son Jay is a democrat who supported Obama.

Well she said he is a good man. Its not something a person would normally say upon hearing the allegations - even if it was the first time she ever heard it and knew nothing else. You'd be more cautious than that I would think. Saying something like he was always nice with the cast etc is one thing. But she went that extra bit and said "is a good guy in my opinion".

But who knows if when asked she had even heard the audio recording? Maybe she believes accused is not the same as guilty?
With the recording no sane person thinks this man is not guilty but there is still a process. It's possible he is never charged with anything.
People know OJ murdered 2 people, but, is not considered a murderer to the legal system.
I am not defending the guy and I think after hearing the audio there is no way to assume he is not a disturbed individual who harmed children.

First of all, she was accosted by a reporter.
Second of all, give her a break. She spent a 11 years playing the guy's wife onb68 TV. That involved shooting kissing scenes, bedroom scenes, crying scenes, etc. There's a huge amount of intimacy there. Do you think she likes the possibility that the career she is most well known for in her life is associated with a child molester?
Third, if you find out that one of your best friends of many years is a child molester, you don't just immediately throw him under the bus (otherwise, what kind of person are you?). That is something that takes time to process. This news only just broke yesterday.
Fourth, being a bad person doesn't mean you can't simultaneously be a good person. -

Apparently you've never been close to anyone who has done such things. I had a P.E. teacher in junior high who was just outed this year (15 years after I had her) for being a child molester. It's taken a lot of time and a bit of counceling to cope with that. I was thrown for a loop because I idolized her so much. My life was in shambles back then and she was one of the brighter parts of my life. It was devastating to learn of what she did. I still see her as the fun, approachable, outgoing, young teacher that she was to me. You don't just change over night. Now, having been a victim of child molestation, I can tell you that those people I once trusted and who betrayed me that way, it is easier to look at in a negative light. But when you only have had positive experiences with some like what Catherine has, it's going to take some time. It doesn't mean she condones that behavior, it just takes time to process it and to deal with it.
Then- a place in time.

Ladies and gentlemen, look at vnisanian's posting history. (s)he defends the infamous Roman Polanski and put court room shenanigans over rape.
Evidently vnisanian thinks his/her favorite rapists should get away with it where as the rest of us don't think any should.
