Absolutely. Best known for his work in the sixties and seventies. This guy was an icon and was always good in anything I've seen him in. Pity he died so yuong but like so many actors of his generation he was fond of a drink. Nonetheless, he was a great actor. RIP Ian.

I only saw him in Theater of Blood and indeed he was very good in his part. But, he almost always had that semi-sad look.

What a fine actor he was. His best performance has to be the brutal Staff Sergeant Williams in Sidney Lumet's "The Hill". Up against giants such as Sean Connery & Harry Andrews, Hendry steals every scene.

Astonishing scene as Eric Paice opposite Caine's Carter at the racecourse in Get Carter. The dramatic dislike between the two characters is mirrored by the personal emnity between the two actors and the screen sizzles like Scorsese's 'that you should see' scene in Taxi Driver and Pesci's 'How am I funny?' in Goodfellas.
