Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Stephen Hawking

    PureMagic — 19 years ago(October 10, 2006 07:55 AM)

Hi, I recently read Hawking's "A Brief History of Time" which I guess is a sort of Hawking for beginers. I really enjoyed the book not only for the vast amount of knowledge contained within it but also for the style of writing. He breaks everything down for us normal folk so that we can understant every sentence and this was one of the major pluses for me. I found that after finishing I had a much more in depth knowledge of the universe and I have to thank Prof Hawking for that.
I was wondering, does anyone know of any other Stephen Hawking books that I should read (and understant)?
    Thanks.
    Up the Mariners 2007!

This is not a book, but I feel rather reticent if I did not point you in this direction
      hb68ttp://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/elegant/program.html
The Elegant Universe, its VERY user friendly and strikes at all the major scientific theories.
Trust me, you will love it.
Also, there are several updated versions of Einstein's "Theory of Relativity" that are written for the layman, everyone should at least read it once.
