Very fortunate the world is to have someone with such in depth knowledge. Many of his theories have been concise and ushered physics in new directions. I only wish he hadn't lost his marbles about 20 years ago. When he began to contradict his own teachings, used unsubstantiated claims, was proven wrong about his inconsistencies..we knew he didn't have a leg to stand on.
Although he is no longer the most brilliant he still (imo) lowered his legacy when he tried to put forward that gravity was self-created from nothingness and then gave no justification of it. He never addressed the effect without a cause. His philosophical beliefs were already contradicted by well established principles in physics so his objectivity is compromised. I believe it was his personal losses that clouded both his scientific and philosophical outlooks as they contradict now the majority of astronomers, physicists, and advanced mathematicians.. but it's only speculation.
